Description of incident
Climber attacked by bees whilst working in the tree. Pre climb inspection missed the bees nest.
Contributing factors
Other more difficult work was being done on the site. Perhaps the nest would have been spotted had a more through pre climb inspection been done.
Incident review and preventative measures
Always have a good pre climb inspection. Climber was able to escape efficiently on his climbing system (rope runner/srt)
