As an Arborist cat rescues start to pop up from time to time, our skill set lets us ascend trees safely, efficiently and without causing damage to the tree. It always gives us a great feeling of being able to utilize our skills to help families who are extremely worried about their beloved pets, and bring them down safely.
Tree top drone rescue #3
Dan was called out to rescue a DJI Mavic drone from high up in a beautiful Copper Beech tree in Vancouver, B.C. The drone was being used for by a videography filming a promo for a Tennis club and flew it backwards into the top of the tree. The drone was not visible from the ground but was easy to locate once in the canopy. Getting paid to rescue a drone from a specular tree such as this makes it even more of a pleasure than normal. Dan was called to rescue a DJI Phantom drone with camera and additional 360 degree camera. The drone was stuck in a large Elm tree within a group of 6 trees.
Treetop drone rescue #1
It was inevitable that it would happen sooner or later! Dan gets a call to rescue a stuck drone from a Western Hemlock tree in a local park. The drone was stuck about 35ft up on the outer edge of the canopy with only very thin branches to work with, this turned out to be much more difficult than it looked. Rescuing 9 month old Penny the cat
Dan is called out to rescue 9 month old Penny the kitten in Surrey, British Columbia from the very top of a Cedar tree next to a taller Douglas Fir tree. The family had tried many options already but luckily Dan was able to help out on a windy Sunday in February.
Rufus was a tricky little rascal to rescue. He had been missing for quite a few days and decided to climb a rotten western Hemlock tree.
This made him quite the challenge for Dan, as it required climbing 3 trees to be able to safely get to Rufus to rescue him.
