Ep 17 - With Derrick Martin

Derrick Martin is a tree climber from Pennsylvania, Derrick talks about how he started in the industry, and he recaps his first few climbs and his first removal. He talks about the various companies he has worked for upto the current day and now taking on training and safety roles in his current position.

Derrick is also a huge fan of competition climbing and will be competing for the third time at the ITCC this August. He talks about being heavily influenced by watching Mark Chisholm in the New Jersey Chapter, and since his first comp has really refined his climbing skills to enable himself to win the PennDel chapter 3 times.

Derek shares a story of how complacency crept in on what was viewed as a simple job which lead to an incident and a few days off work.
