Simple rigging on a
Fir tree dismantle

The job was located in the rear garden of a residential property in Vancouver, B.C, Canada.

Job specification:
To remove 1 tall Fir tree slightly leaning toward the house, in a controlled and safe manner.
We decided to use a simple rigging system which consisted of a rigging pulley attached high in the tree, a rigging rope, a webbing sling with steel karabiner, and a portawrap friction device to aid the groundsman handle heavy branches. We tied the sling to the butt end of each branch and then cut it off and lowered to the base by the groundsman.
